LoRusso’s Cucina will hold its 20th annual Pasta Bowl 2018 fundraiser on Mon., Jan. 29 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at 3121 Watson Rd. Throughout the year, the restaurant invites the community to contribute their favorite recipe for the competition. The top three recipes selected by LoRusso’s staff will be served family style at the Pasta Bowl dinner, where all guests in attendance vote for their favorite pasta. The winning recipe will be placed on the menu for one year, and Operation Food Search (OFS) will receive $2 for each order sold. To date the fundraiser has raised more than $60,000.
Founded in 1981, Operation Food Search (OFS) is a hunger relief organization that provides food and nutrition education. With a strategic focus aimed at ending childhood hunger, OFS empowers families with a range of programs and services proven to reduce food insecurity and increase access to healthy and affordable food. The agency helps feed more than 200,000 individuals on a monthly basis – one-third of which are children – through a network of 330 community partners in 31 Missouri and Illinois counties.
