Webster University is pleased to announce the 7th annual Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Conference, which will open the morning of March 1 and continue through the afternoon of March 2, 2022. The Every Day Inclusion: Right Here, Right Now! conference will feature 12 sessions with nearly 20 presenters addressing the question, “What can we do?” The conference will focus on inequities that persist in our communities and deliver immediate, practical, and impactful strategies to promote inclusion as individuals and institutions.
Laurie Hernandez will be welcomed to St. Louis as the 2022 DEI Keynote Speaker. Hernandez is an American gymnast and the youngest member of “The Final Five” U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team winning Gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Hernandez earned Silver on the balance beam in the 2016 Olympic individual event. She is one of only a few Latinas to represent the U.S. in the Olympics since 1936.
The 2022 DEI Conference will be open to both in-person sessions on the Webster University Webster Groves campus and virtual attendance. The conference is FREE to all attendees, thanks to the generous support of our conference sponsors, but registration is required. |
