Tour with Beatrice Red Star Fletcher and Wendy Red Star |
Arts and Music |
Event Description: |
Join Beatrice Red Star Fletcher and Wendy Red Star, an intergenerational artist collaborative duo, for a kid-friendly tour of Ruth Asawa: Life’s Work and Lola Álvarez Bravo: Picturing Mexico. In her practice, Wendy Red Star explores the intersections of Native American ideologies and colonialist structures both historically and in contemporary society. As a part of her collaborative art practice, Beatrice Red Star Fletcher leads tours for younger visitors. In addition to the tour, visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in an art-making activity.
The tour is recommended for children ages 8-13, and we ask that you accompany your children on the tour and during the art-making activity in order to ensure the best possible experience in our galleries. This program is free, but space is limited; registration is encouraged at pulitzerarts.org.
