Fund Raisers / Galas |
| Event Description: |

The Gateway Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will host their 21st Annual Diamond Ball, on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 7:00 until 12:00 a.m. at The Ritz-Carlton St. Louis. This year’s Diamond Ball – Un Grand Bal Au Chateau Saint Louis – will benefit The Ed Heitz Memorial Research Fund of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
This annual black tie gala event – with a decidedly French theme – will feature a lovely dinner dance with The Gateway City Big Band plus a live and silent auction. Some of the fabulous auction items include a diamond necklace donated by the Mary Pillsbury Fine Jewelry Company.
The 2008 Diamond Ball Committee is headed by Founder Mary Pillsbury Wainwright and the 2008 Diamond Ball Chair Corinne Darvish. Notes Founder Mary Pillsbury Wainwright, “The Ed Heitz Memorial Research Fund has a twenty year history of support for the life-saving research The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provides our patients. Over two million dollars has been raised over the years for breakthroughs in cancer research, specifically for researchers working in the St. Louis medical community.” According to the recent Ladue News Platinum List, The Diamond Ball is one of the “Top 5 Charity Balls” among annual charitable events in St. Louis.
Tickets are $250 per person, with tables of ten available for $2,500. Junior level (35 years and younger) tickets and tables are also available for $200 per person or $2,000 per table. A variety of Patron Levels are still available for those interested in a more substantial donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (all donations are welcome through December 31, 2008.) Please inquire about the various Patron Levels when reserving tickets and tables.
For more information or to reserve tickets, please contact The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Allison Starling at (314) 878-0780 or Allison.Starling@lls.org.
