More than 30 Missouri employers will try to fill as much as 100 positions from 10:00am-2:00pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at what’s being called The Community Action Agency’s Job and Empowerment Fair. The Empowerment Fair presented at Florissant Valley Community College student center 3400 Pershall Rd. (63135) will connect candidates with employers to experience the spot-on job interview. Job applicants will participate in several interviews to happen throughout the event with local area hiring managers.
The event will feature recruiter booths for each company where they can meet with walk-up candidates that day, frequently making hires on the spot.
Participating companies includeTrue Blue Hospitality and Labor Ready, Hollywood Casino St. Louis, Columbia College, Missouri Job Center, Eastern Missouri Laborers’ District Council Agency (NGA), General Motors/Wentzville Assembly Center ,St. Louis Community College, Workforce Solutions Group, ABB, Emerson Electric ,Shop N Save, Vatterott College, St. Louis Job Corps Center, Marriot St. Louis Grand Hotel ,Whelan Security, Youth In Need ,AAA Automobile Club of Missouri, ITT Technical Institute, Kelly Services/Fed Ex Ground ,Transportation Security Administration ,Construction Craft Laborer’s Apprenticeship Program, Department of Mental Health, Centaur Building Services ,Ranken Technical College, P. S. Employment ,and many more!
At this four-hour event, job seekers will receive information about how to seek out money to finance career training and how to reduce student loan debt. Job seekers will have the opportunity to attend free workshops staffed by Human Resource Management Association volunteers especially for job seekers, topics include resume writing, job interview techniques, how-to answer hard to answer questions, interview clothing do’s and don’ts, fast track educational opportunities and many more topics.
